Watermarks help protect your screener from unauthorized sharing and screen recording. Screenable’s watermark feature includes a few mechanisms designed to address common weaknesses in conventional watermark systems.

Main features

1. Upload a custom graphic — You can upload your own watermark image, with or without transparency.
2. Use Screenable’s built-in text watermark — This text reads: “Screener only. Not for public viewing.” It is fixed and cannot be changed.
3. Automatic movement — The watermark moves to random positions on the screen every few seconds, making it harder for automated tools to remove it.
4. Self-recovery — If someone disables the watermark using browser code manipulation, it will reappear automatically after a few seconds.

Implementation

You can configure the watermark for each screener individually. This allows flexibility and adaptation to different use cases.

Adding a watermark to a screener

1. Select a screener to open it on the main screen.
2. Click the pencil icon to edit its settings.

Default state

By default, the watermark is disabled. Only the screener video is displayed. Click the grey toggle button to enable the watermark.
